The safest file upload is the one that never happens. StillKit runs every tool inside your browser, so your files, text and passwords stay on your device.
How we protect you
- No uploads: your files and text are processed on your device and never sent to a server.
- No accounts: there are no passwords or personal profiles to steal.
- Encrypted connection: the site is served only over HTTPS.
- Strict browser protections: the site loads only its own code and blocks third-party scripts.
- You stay in control: tools start only when you choose, and you can cancel any task at any time.
- Safe results: text you paste is always shown as plain text and never run as code.
Sensible limits
To keep your browser fast and stable, each tool accepts up to 1 MB of text per field and up to 30 files or 20 MB in total. Large PDFs and images have additional limits, and every task stops after 30 seconds.
Encryption tools
The password-based encryption tools use AES-256-GCM, a widely trusted standard. Your password never leaves your device and cannot be recovered, so keep it somewhere safe.
What no website can guarantee
- Editing a PDF can invalidate digital signatures, and removing metadata is not secure redaction.
- Watermarks and pixelation do not reliably hide sensitive information.
- Calculator results are informational, not professional advice. Verify important results.
- Browser extensions, malware or a shared device can affect the privacy of any website.
